What this scope actually covers
Refacing is not a coat of paint on old doors. We strip the exterior of every box, apply matching veneer or painted skin, and replace the doors, drawer fronts, drawer boxes, hinges and slides with the same components we put in a full build.
It is the right call when the existing cabinet layout works, the boxes are plywood or solid, and the frames are square. It is the wrong call when the layout fights you, when boxes are swollen particleboard, or when you want to move the sink. We will say so at the survey rather than take the job.
Because the doors are made and finished in our shop, a refacing job gets the same conversion varnish and the same five year finish coverage as our built-from-scratch cabinetry.

What is included
Box assessment
We pull a door and a drawer, check the box material, squareness and hinge bore, and photograph anything questionable.
New doors and fronts
Shaker, slab or beaded, in paint grade maple, white oak, walnut or rift oak, milled to your openings.
Dovetailed drawer boxes
Solid maple boxes on soft-close undermount slides, sized to the existing opening.
Veneer or painted skins
End panels, toe kicks and exposed sides wrapped to match the new doors, including matching filler strips.
Hardware
Soft-close hinges, pulls and knobs in your chosen finish, drilled on a jig so every pull lines up.
Interior upgrades
Optional roll-out trays, tray dividers, trash pull-outs and drawer organizers built to the box.
How it runs
The sequence
Each step has a named owner on our side and one decision on yours. Nothing starts until the previous step is signed off.

Survey and template
Every opening measured individually. Old kitchens are rarely consistent, and we build to what is actually there.
- 02
Shop production
Doors are milled, sanded, sprayed and cured on racks for a week while your kitchen stays fully usable.
- 03
Two day install
Old doors off, skins on, new doors and drawers hung and adjusted. You keep the sink and range the whole time.
- 04
Adjustment visit
We come back after two weeks and re-adjust every hinge once the doors have settled.

All questionsThe box exteriors get skinned in the same material and finish as the doors, so what you see reads as one new kitchen. Box interiors stay as they are unless you add new shelving.
Usually yes, if the substrate is sound. Peeling thermofoil on particleboard is a warning sign, and we will recommend replacement instead.
Yes. Because we make the doors, a 1990s raised panel kitchen can become flat slab white oak without touching the boxes.
About eight working days for paint and ten for stain and clear, because each coat cures on the rack before the next one.
